Ark DeepDefense, Inc., d/b/a ArkStreams ("we," "our," or "us"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed when you access or use our services, including our mobile app, website, and associated subdomains (collectively, the "Service").

By using ArkStreams, you agree to the collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

1. Information We Collect

We collect both personal and non-personal information when you use ArkStreams. This includes:

• Account data: name, email address, password, and payment information.
• Usage data: content you watch, interaction history, preferences, and search queries.
• Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device ID, and mobile network information.
• Cookies and tracking data: to understand usage patterns and personalize your experience.
• AI usage data: your interactions help us improve recommendation models, personalize content feeds, and enhance safety via automated moderation.
• Uploaded media and metadata: photos, videos, audio recordings (such as prayer recordings), captions, and adornment settings (e.g., frames/music) that you choose to upload. On mobile, we use the system photo picker where available—we do not require standing camera or gallery permissions to select media. We also collect technical media metadata (e.g., format, resolution).
• Safety and moderation signals: automated flags, reviewer labels, and enforcement actions linked to your account.
• Preference and filter settings: your content filtering choices (e.g., political, sexualized, violent, racist, disgusting, stressful, comparison).
• Info Hub preferences: your news volume settings (Small, Moderate, or Large), interactions with external content (views, clicks, bookmarks), and content category preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide and personalize our Service, including curating content in both the social Feed and Info Hub
• Train internal AI models for content filtering, safety, and personalization
• Aggregate and display external content (such as news headlines) based on your preferences and filter settings
• Process optional Premium subscriptions when you choose to subscribe, through a secure third-party payment processor
• Improve user experience and support
• Monitor for abuse, fraud, or policy violations
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Subscription and Payment

ArkStreams is free to use. Core features—including feeds, posting, groups, comments, and messaging—are available without payment. We also offer an optional Premium subscription with additional features. If you subscribe, billing is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play through a secure third-party payment provider. We do not store full payment card details on our servers. You may manage or cancel a subscription through your device account settings or the in-app Settings screen.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only with:

• Service providers under strict confidentiality agreements (e.g., hosting, crash diagnostics, payment processing)
• Law enforcement when required by law
• Affiliates of Ark DeepDefense, Inc. for internal administrative purposes
• A buyer or successor in case of merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, in accordance with this policy

5. Model Improvement

We may use UGC and interaction data to improve ArkStreams' on-platform models for personalization and safety. We do not provide your UGC to third-party model providers for their independent training. Where required by law, we will offer an opt-out mechanism.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to improve site performance and user experience. You can manage cookie settings in your browser. Disabling cookies may affect functionality.

7. Children's Privacy

ArkStreams is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. Users aged 13–17 may use the Service only with parental consent. If we become aware of unauthorized data collection from a child, we will delete it promptly.

Children's Privacy – EEA/UK

For users in the EEA/UK, the Service is not directed to children under the age of 16, and parental consent thresholds follow local law.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no system can be 100% secure, and you use the Service at your own risk.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described, including operating the Service, complying with legal obligations, and resolving disputes. You may request deletion; we will delete or de-identify data unless retention is required by law or legitimate interests (e.g., safety logs, chargeback defense).

To request account deletion without using the app, visit arkdeep.com/delete-account. You may also submit a request from Profile or Settings in the ArkStreams apps. Deletion requests are reviewed within 48 hours.

10. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data protection laws than your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.

11. California Privacy Rights

We do not sell your personal information and do not use your data for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may request access, deletion, or correction by contacting us at hello@arkdeep.com. We will not discriminate for exercising these rights.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you through the Service before they take effect. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.

13. Third-Party Services

Our Service may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. You access them at your own risk and subject to their terms.

14. External Content and RSS Feeds

ArkStreams aggregates external content, including news headlines and articles, from publicly available RSS feeds and other third-party content sources. We display this content in the Info Hub based on your preferences and filter settings.

We do not share your personal information with these external content providers to obtain their content. The aggregation process is automated and does not involve direct data exchange with news publishers.

When you click on external content links, you will be directed to third-party websites that have their own privacy policies and terms of use. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external websites. Any information you provide to or that is collected by third-party websites is subject to their privacy policies.

We may collect analytics data about which external content you view, click, or bookmark to improve content recommendations and personalization, consistent with the data collection practices described in Section 1 of this Privacy Policy.
